The crash was reported around 4:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Wilbraham Road, Springfield police said. The woman died at the scene. Her name was not released as police reached out to her next of kin.
The driver stayed at the scene and spoke with police, investigators said.
No charges have been filed, but police are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
